Your sneak peeks typically arrive within the week. Your full photo gallery arrives within 1 to 2 months of your wedding, and your film within 2 to 3 months.

We don't charge “travel fees” beyond the actual cost of getting our team there. In most cases, that just means the actual prices for the flights and hotel, plus a simple meal stipend during the trip. Bonus tip: destination weddings in Europe and other select locations will get a discount on top!

Of course. You’re welcome to add on raw, unedited files to your package, which will be transferred to a hard drive delivered directly to your preferred address. Keep in mind raw files aren't color-graded or curated the way your delivered gallery and film are.

Black Iris is a boutique wedding studio, not a single photographer. Every storyteller on our team is vetted and trained in the Black Iris signature style before they ever shoot a wedding, so your coverage never relies on one person's calendar or a potential emergency on the day itself. Zahra personally designs the coverage plan, reviews every edit, and oversees delivery, so a multi-day, multi-city celebration still arrives as one collection, held to the same standard from first frame to final gallery. Our signature edit blends color and light in a way that reads as organic and artistic rather than filtered or templated, a style built over years that isn't easily replicated elsewhere.

Yes. Our team has documented nikkah ceremonies across Pakistani, Bengali, and Indian Muslim weddings, and we build the coverage plan around your specific order of events rather than a generic template. Walk us through your full lineup during your consultation and we'll plan for all of it.

We offer four lengths of film, and are also open to customization.

• Teaser (30-60 seconds): a fast cut to share immediately after your wedding, usually within one week.

• Highlight Film (4-10 minutes): our most requested format, a musical and artistic retelling of your day.

• Extended Highlight (11-30 minutes): more room for speeches, ceremony, and longer scenes that a standard highlight can't hold.

• Documentary Film (60+ minutes): the full account of your day, in order, built for the archive your family returns to.

Feeling nervous is totally normal, but don’t worry, making sure you’re comfortable during the session is our job, not yours. We build in movement rather than static posing, so the moment unfolds naturally instead of feeling staged. A pre-wedding session is also a good way to get used to being in front of our team before the wedding itself.
